A serious void exists in the public discourse relating to the issues that directly and/or disproportionately impact the African-American community. Dr. Leon discusses issues such as the prison industrial complex, environmental racism, school vouchers, health care, crime policy, economic globalization, American domestic and foreign policy from as much of a non-biased and academically accurate perspective as possible. Dr. Leon’s perspective and lectures are grounded in the history of the African American community and the radical tradition of African American scholarship.

It's interesting, listening to the Sessions hearings; Repub's say, he's a nice guy, good human being, wonderful American. Dem's say we like him but when you understand the obligations of the job he's unfit to serve because he's a racist, xenophobe and voting rights obstructionist. Also, he's had a confirmation hearing conversion- basically, saying what he perceives to be proper etiquette. He's lying! But it is entertaining to see Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) cut Ted Cruz, Sessions and other Repub's a new one and using the Judiciary Committee record to do so!
Some are saying the Dems should tread lightly in opposing the nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch in anticipation of potential future nominees. That's a political assessment not a principled one. If AA's engaged in battles for equality based on probably of success most of our battles would never have been fought. Articulate a principled position, stand on it and fight for it until the end. The one thing about right; it's always right.
Co-Opting of Kings Message..
Right is ALWAYS right...
Listening to Sessions press conference. It's the Rodney King "don't believe your lying eyes (and ears) defense." Recusal is not enough. If you can't be trusted to deal with the Russian issue you can't be trusted, period! Dem's, don't fall for this as a compromise!
No room for compromise!
After 7 years of complaining the Repub's finally put their replacement of Obama Care on the table. It's called the ACA.
Something seems familiar..
To all of those who see the HBCU presidents meeting with Trump as some great accomplishment I ask, as that great philosopher Clara Peller asked, "where's the beef?
